Hawfields Elementary School: Emergency Manhole Rehabilitation
Years of hydrogen sulfide attack had eaten this manhole on the Hawfields Elementary campus down to the rebar. It was likely only months from needing a full replacement. ProCoat dropped what we were doing and mobilized for an emergency repair: we sandblasted the structure down to sound concrete and exposed rebar, treated the steel with rust inhibitor, rebuilt the walls with a 2" cementitious liner, and finished with 125 mils of epoxy topcoat. The existing manhole was saved from replacement, with no excavation, and returned to service with long-term corrosion protection.

Protective Coatings for New Manholes
By treating new manholes with our range of epoxy based coatings, ProCoat can increase manhole lifespans by decades. These coatings provide premium corrosion resistance where high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid, and other harmful chemicals are present.
